1. Scroll away and back
Set first: GoDAM > Settings > Video Player > When a video goes out of view.
Run this page once per mode: Pause all videos, then Keep playing, muted, then Pause autoplaying videos only.
Run this page once per mode: Pause all videos, then Keep playing, muted, then Pause autoplaying videos only.
Press play on the video below, let it run a few seconds, then scroll down.
scroll past this — the video is now out of view
Expected, by mode
- Pause all videos — it paused. Scroll back up: it is still paused (you press play again).
- Keep playing, muted — it kept playing with sound off. Scroll back: still muted until you unmute.
- Pause autoplaying videos only — nothing happens; you started it, so it is left alone.
- Do nothing — nothing happens in any case.
2. Browser tab hidden
This is the part automation cannot test at all, so it only gets checked here.
Press play again, then switch to another browser tab for ~5 seconds and come back.
- With Pause all videos / Keep playing, muted: behaviour depends on the “Also apply when the browser tab is hidden” toggle under the setting. Toggle OFF → a video you started keeps playing. Toggle ON → it pauses/mutes.
- An autoplaying video always stops in a hidden tab, whatever that toggle says — see the next page.
